Lee Gooding

Born and raised on the island of Barbados, my journey towards success began when my parents gave me the opportunity to attend St. Andrew’s College in Canada.  At seventeen years old, just graduating from a local private all boys’ school – Presentation College, like most other boys I didn’t know what I wanted to do.  My two years at St. Andrews College allowed me to learn the importance of a good education, playing sports, being part of a team, as well as how to be focused and have goals.  This prepared me for my transition into the University of Guelph in 1991, where I graduated with honors achieving a Business degree with a major in Hotel & Food management.

In 1995 I returned to Barbados and immediately started working at a hotel where I held the post of Food & Beverage Manager for one year.

I was then offered the position of Production Manager at one of the leading furniture & interior decorating factories on the island, where I remained for two years until going in to business with my father.

Together we managed the construction of a Bds $40 Million dollar project – A gated community comprising of 15 acres with 78 condos and townhouses.  And when the construction was completed in 2001, I started my company Seaside Realty Inc. which has been managing the entire development for the past sixteen years.

When Seaside Realty first started, it was just myself and one employee, solely managing Millennium Heights and handling a few property sales and rentals.  It was around this time that I took the opportunity to further my studies in property management by taking a course at the University of the West Indies. 

To date, I am proud to say that our company has grown immensely boasting a great team of ten employees.  We manage approximately ninety properties across the island including gated developments, individual apartments and luxury villas.  Our inventory of properties includes residential and commercial sales & rentals, and in the past three years our short term rentals & Concierge service have exceeded all of our expectations.

Together with my wife, we enjoy owning and managing one of the leading names in Real Estate and property management in Barbados.  Our office is located on the South Coast main road and the benefits of that location are already paying off.  My success has not come only from hard work, but also from making my decisions based on respect, honesty and loyalty.  They prove to be the greatest asset, especially when you live on a small island where your reputation precedes you.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy family time with my wife of seventeen years and my two teenage children, as well as surfing, paddle boarding and playing soccer.
