Mario Popovici is the Director of Sales for The Crest Group NYC, and a Licensed Real Estate Broker with 25 years of success in residential rentals and sales in New York City. He draws on his extensive experience to oversee all sales and marketing for The Crest Group’s sales department, and mentor agents on embracing sales their first year in the business.
Mario began his real estate career at an office in Forest Hills, Queens in 1997. He since owned and operated two real estate offices in Queens, plus worked at several other top-name brokerage firms in Manhattan as well as being the Sales Manager, Commercial Manager and Assistant Rental Manager at Miron Properties.
In his tenure, Mario has sold and helped oversee the sales of over 350+ properties as well as countless rentals in his diverse career, which has involved individual sales, mass sponsor sales and onsite sales. He has also supervised entire projects from the selecting the renovation material to the completion and sell-out of apartments.
Born in Romania, Mario moved to New York City at a young age. He has lived throughout Queens, on the Upper East Side, Hell’s Kitchen The East Village as well as in Miami and the Dominican Republic, and currently in The Long Island City area of Queens. Mario also splits his time between NYC and Punta Cana in The Dominican Republic where he help buyers and sellers find their dream home in beautiful Punta Cana and the surrounding areas in our second branch in our Caribbean branch office. Not only has Mario been successful in real estate but Mario applied his business expertise as owner and manager of Bars/Restaurants in the Dominican Republic, and a restaurant/bar/lounge in Forest Hills, NY, as well as property owner in NYC and The Dominican Republic. He additionally worked in nightlife event coordination and promotions for six years. Mario is a Padi certified diver as well as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner and skier. With his wide range of management experience as well as diverse business background Mario is able to understand and relate with his agents and customers alike.
